We took a short but interesting hike yesterday to the Shell Ridge open space and explored a trail we’d not taken before, the Twin Ponds trail. This tree (an Oak methinks) stood out in the late afternoon sun.
You know what I find appealing (and I’m surprised that I do, because it’s not like me)? That little bit of trail that’s sticking into the scene. But why? I think it’s because it puts me there. I’m drawn into the photo and I’m standing sort of back on that same trail. Otherwise, it’s just another beautiful tree on a hillside!
