We were fortunate to find a Red Tailed Hawk perched looking for a meal. He stayed atop this pole for a long while then glided out to a nearly motionless hover. He started a very slow (and quiet) descent to hopefully get a meal.

    I love the shot with the emphasis on the red tail. We see a lot of hawk photos, but I don’t recall seeing one quite like this, have you? Unique, tells a story, beautifully done. — Carol Leigh
