I participated in a Canon event at the Grand Canyon today. It was a chance for non-DSLR users to try them out for free. Since I already have one, I took the chance to sample one of Canon’s best lenses, the 70-200mm f2.8 IS. On reflection, it may have been a very expensive ‘free’ seminar. It’s easily the fastest focussing lens I’ve ever used. Shooting mid-day is always hard but details can be interesting at the right angle.
