On our way home from Sea Ranch, there’s series of switchbacks where highway one descends from perhaps 600-800′ down to sea level. Near the top, one can often see raptors. This day, we were treated to this fellow chasing a larger raptor, a red tail or possibly a golden eagle. The big guy left quickly and the victor (a Northern Harrier?) sat on a post letting us all know that he won.
